Summit Reading Center LLC was founded in 2006 to provide high quality, evidence-based, structured, multisensory language instruction to students in Boulder, Colorado and the surrounding areas.
Summit is led by Nicolas Clausen, a licensed teacher in the state of Colorado and language and learning enthusiast. Nic received his initial training in multisensory instruction at Lindamood Bell Learning Processes in Denver where he served as both a clinician and literacy consultant in the public schools. While attending CU Denver to become a teacher, Nic became employed at Summit Reading Center in Boulder, Colorado in 2009 and became the director and owner shortly afterward.
Nic has 15 years of experience helping students build literacy and language skills. Before becoming a teacher, he was a licensed therapist in the state of Iowa. He is on the professional referral list of the International Dyslexia Association.
Nic is experienced in helping kids of all ages and abilities reach their learning potential through improved literacy skills. Many of the students who come to Summit present with complex barriers to learning including dyslexia, ADD/HD, autism, hyperlexia, and traumatic brain injury.
